San Rafael

San Rafael is the first incorporated city in Marin County and got its start in the Gold Rush. With a bustling downtown since the late 1800’s, San Rafael is home to a Spanish Mission, was the first port in Marin for logging and transport via boat and is still a major hub in Marin. The most diverse town of Marin, San Rafael boasts cuisine from all over the world including Italian, Puerto Rican, Indian, Thai, Chinese, Mediterranean, French, Japanese, Mexican and Salvadorian just to name a few! San Rafael is also where most of the industry in Marin lies, employing tens of thousands of people and providing the area with the best train and bus hub in the area. It has several neighborhoods and has homes ranging from Victorians, to new construction because progress never stops here. You may find a home in the hills with a view of the San Francisco Bay, or a nice ranch-style dwelling that has been lovingly revamped. Whatever we find, I know you’ll love living in the middle of it all with easy access to San Francisco and Sonoma!
