Fairfax was the last railroad stop in Marin before heading out to iconic West Marin and the coast of the Pacific. This is the birthplace of mountain biking and a mecca for cyclists! Alpine and Bon Tempe Lakes and their trails, are a short ride or drive through the Cascade neighborhood and the area makes you forget that there is a small town that lies at the bottom of the hill. In this truly unique town, unlike any other, everyone is welcome in Fairfax. Fairfax homes are often in the woods and custom but you’ll also find the updated and traditional home, bringing you into the 21st Century. There are condo complexes on the outskirts of town and the downtown is hard to beat allowing that walkable lifestyle we often seek.
